    6. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)

    David Fincher directed the American version of this movie inspired by the 2005 Swedish psychological crime novel. In this movie, Daniel Craig plays the role of a journalist. And Rooney Mara plays a computer hacker. Together, they investigate what happened to a girl who disappeared 40 years ago. What makes this thriller even more thrilling is the fact that the author of the original novel died before it was published.
